Multi-sensory exploration within live, musically driven
performance
Over the last 50 years, my career has developed from orchestral and historically-informed performance, through composition and musical arrangement, to therapeutic music creation and live improvisation.
Retraining in two different forms of music therapy; Nordoff-Robbins and the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music led me towards process based, inclusive artistic ventures and a new focus on the relationship between audience and performer.
Through my live-art ensembles The Next Room & Le Collectif, I use free-improvisation to develop new performance structures, physically activating audiences within immersive, theme-based performance rituals.
